FAQ: Q: Why did you name your comic after the little pieces of poo that cling to your rump hair? A: Because it's a funny word to say, go ahead just say it with me: "DiiingleBerries!"... In reality we had no idea what to call the comic, and had been going over different names for weeks. So Foley decided the only way to figure it out was for Kiwi and him to get stupid drunk, and that then a good name would innevitably come to them... For some reason this strategy worked (kinda).
Q: Why do you only update once a week? A: Because the comic takes an insanely long time to make. This is probably due in part to an incredibly inefficient system employed by us in which Foley draws a crap copy of about 5 comics, Him and Kiwi then pick the one they like and Kiwi then draws it over into the style you all know and love (this style is lovingly referred to as NOT looking like a 5 year old did it). She then hands it over to Foley who then does the flat color. Kiwi checks his work and corrects the errors. Then the two of them crowd around the glow of the Mac and argue fonts and color choices till someone runs out of breath, Foley watches Kiwi shade it in photoshop, and then when all the shadows and text are done... The comic is in the can and Foley and Kiwi have a cigarette or a beer in celebration.
Q: How do you guys make the comic? Is one person more involved than the other? A: We both made a deal with Satan and got really low resell rates for our souls... Look at the giant paragraph above this question ya CHUDs.
Q: What IS a CHUD? A: A Canabalistic Humanoid Underground Dweller, the term comes from a semi-famous 1984 B-Horror movie by the same name starring John Goodman.
Q: Are your characters based on yourselves? Is Tim also based on a real person? A: Yes, in fact most of the names aren't even changed. Foley is Foley's last name (though just like in the comic, no one seems to ever know his first name); Kiwi is Kiwi's IAM handle (and by proxy how 9/10 people know her) and Tim is based on... Tim: Kiwi's actual boyfriend. We do all live in the same apartment building (Kinda like friends: Only if the characters were drunk, full of body Mods, and regularly got tickets for peeing in public)... All the characters are based on (physically and personality wise) real people, and most every strip is based either on a real event or in the very least (in our more surreal moments) a funny conversation we've had. By basing every strip on real events we help keep an authentic feel to the comic (In actuality we're also lazy and uncreative to do otherwise). Q: How can I ask you a question that's not on here?
